| Using Remote VirtualBoss is very secure. It will operate behind
the two most common web server applications used on the Internet
(Apache & Internet Information Services), both of which have
many thousands of hours of security development and testing behind
them. Your routers and firewalls are 100% intact, and will only
allow port 80 traffic through in order to allow Remote VirtualBoss
to be fully functional. All port 80 activity for Remote VirtualBoss
must pass hardware security on your router, software security in
your firewall, and the web server software. These are the same standards
used on 99% of all web servers on the Internet.
VirtualBoss is on thousands of PCs around the world; to date
there have been no Remote VirtualBoss security issues reported.
The only potential issue that could arise is in mistakenly giving
the wrong person the address, user name, and password to your Remote
VirtualBoss server. Even so, doing this will only allow them to
have access to whatever that user name has the right to access (which
may be limited to only viewing certain information), and you can
change passwords and turn off user names any time you wish to do
so.
In addition, a complete backup is created and saved onto
your computer every single time PC VirtualBoss is shut down. Users
will typically have more than 20 backups to choose from if they
ever find a problem.
